I was looking for a graphic that describes the aim of our get togethers, especially on Sundays. This is a sign at a car park for electric vehicles You park and plug your car in for a recharge. No one has a car to park, they have a car to drive.  But in order to drive, the car needs to be recharged. We don’t exist to meet together on Sundays. We exist to represent Jesus in our world, but in order to do this we need to recharge - to plug into God and His people.

This diagram and these statements act like a compass for life in our Church. They act as a portable and memorable guide for living.  

Worship:  This is the active expression of our responsive love for God directed at God.  We encourage worship in our Services and Home Groups and through Spiritual Practises like prayer, praise, bible study etc. 

Community:  This is the active expression of our responsive love for God directed at people in the church.  We encourage community by meeting together, listening and supporting each other. 

Mission:  This is the active expression of our responsive love for God directed at people beyond the church.  We encourage mission by seeing our life situation as a mission context and by being ready to share Jesus through both words and deeds.  Mission informs the direction of the church.   

Balance:  These 3 aspects are interconnected.  We strive to keep each of these aspects present in our lives.   

To make it really easy just remember UP (Worship), IN (Community) , OUT (Mission).
