Symphony On Safari

The Symphony Avenue small group is planning a 2–3 week trip to South Africa in early March 2007.

The tentative itinerary is to fly into Johannesburg and then on to the Victoria Falls. There will be time here to visit a game reserve to enjoy viewing the ‘Big Five’, camping over, a sunset cruise on the Chobe River, etc. Then we return to Johannesburg, travel to Swaziland to visit a school and friends of Thelma and Michael Bowes, as well as take in the sights.

It's great to see rain and everything growing, but it means that some work is needed. Come and help spruce up the church buildings and grounds. Please bring along trailers/utes, gardening tools, as well as cleaning materials for the buildings. Morning tea provided.

Vineyard Church Community Outreach

We would like to consider partnering up with Vineyard with their Mercy Centre that they run. They give food to the needy in the local community and sit and chat with them. On Saturday they are holding a time when we can go along and find out about what they do. No commitment necessary, just come along and listen. The church is in Paisley Dr. Lawnton.

If you have camped at AGMF before you will know that Queen’s Park camping always sells out way ahead of time. Well this year, the Toowoomba City Council is letting AGMF use almost all of Queen’s Park for camping… and this means we have doubled the campsite from 2500 capacity to 5000!

Raw War Internet Event - V8 Supercars 3

Awesome internet event - LAN Party from the comfort of your own home!

I know that Racing is not everyone’s favourite computer game, but we’ve decided to begin with this because it is the most reliable. After a few tries, if it works well, we’ll add another game later in the year.

This will be an official Raw War event which carries full Raw War points. It is an extra opportunity for you to improve your best scores, and you won’t be penalized if you don’t partake.

The only requirement is that you pre-register by emailing Wayne on wake@technet2000.com.au no later than one hour before blast-off. You will be emailed back with the session name and the password. The session is likely to go for 60-90 minutes and will have collisions turned off. If there’s too many registrations for one server, you’ll be emailed advising which server for you to join. If you join the wrong server, the host will reject you and then you can join the correct server.

Raw War 2007 Round 3

On this day Wayne will be attending the Celebration Service for the life of his mother-in-law who passed away on 4th April. She was a wonderful woman who migrated from England during the Great Depression and raised 6 children while she and her husband managed a farm. She was a faithful servant to her Lord and taught her children the same way. She will be missed but we’ll see her again soon.
