Hi, everyone! Geof asked me to write the update this week.

Summary
- Praise God for His continual faithfulness to us as we live here.
- Praise God for helping me lead the Ladies Bible Study in Spanish.
- Continue to pray for Segana and her homework and for me working with her.
- Pray for us leaving the country to renew our visa again.
- Continue to pray for Young Nam’s passport to arrive before early July.
- Pray for the renewal of our rental contract.

I am very conscious of the Lord’s faithfulness to us as we live for Him here in Caracas. It is not always easy but He has been there all the way and I have no doubt that He will continue to be with us.

Last Wed. morning it was my turn to lead the Ladies Bible Study in Spanish. Even though I was a bit nervous everything went really well. This was a real boost to my Spanish learning. I got stuck a couple of times on what I wanted to say but there were ladies who were able to help me out.
It helped that I didn’t have to do all the talking as this group are good participators.

Michael and Segana continue to enjoy their school which helps their Spanish to improve continually. I’ve noticed they’re starting to use Spanish at times when I don’t expect it and in their play. That’s a good sign. Michael is doing excellently in his studies, in both languages but do pray he’ll have true humility. He likes to let everyone know how good he is. Segana needs to have a change in attitude towards her school work as she doesn’t want to work hard and just wants to play. I need patience as I try to encourage her to get things done and especially in helping her to understand mathematics. Sometimes I get so frustrated with her.

The kids and I need to leave the country again within the next few weeks to renew our visas. Geof doesn’t need to as he went to Colombia. At this stage, we haven’t got any definite plans so pray for guidance. It’s a pity our 90 day visas expire about 2 weeks before we are leaving to go to OZ (at the end of July).

Young Nam has applied for a new passport which has to come from Brazil.
She has to leave the country by early July as well.

We are still waiting to hear from the owner of our apartment if we can continue renting or not. We really need to know soon. Pray we’ll accept what happens as from the Lord, which ever way it goes.

Thanks for your continued prayers.

Marion
