Have you started the annual "wondering what I should get so and so for Christmas this year" process? Not quite 11 weeks to go until Christmas (that's a bit of a shock - isn't it?)

Well, how about considering doing something different this year. Why give gifts to friends and loved ones that may not be needed or have a limited life usage built in. Why not give them something that may impact on someone's life for all eternity, and then give them a note that this is what you have done.

This year, Baptist World Aid has chosen a theme of "GOD'S HEART FOR HUMANITY" based on the challenge of Deuteronomy 15:11)

Why not give a gift towards one of the Commit to Community projects (which you can even claim a tax deduction for) Issues such as healthy communities, support and justice, household income and disaster preparedness are built into this program.. Also Emergency Relief Fund is available with short term relief when confronted with major loss and damage due to natural disasters and emergencies.
