Dear Friend,

My prayer is that this letter finds you recovering well from the festive season and looking forward to the year ahead. I write this letter to you in regards to your possible involvement in the youth program of 747 in 2007.

Whether you have been involved in our program as a leader or as a youth last year, or have never even seen 747 in action, 2007 looks like being an exciting year. Last year, 747 had more than a 1,000 young people in our community come along and hear a gospel message and more than 40 youth made commitments for the lord. Praise God!

In 2006, with the nets growing full to over flowing (more than 200 youth every week in last term), the Lord has challenged myself and others in our leadership team to call out to our friends (Luke 5) to assist us with pulling in the catch. This year will be a real new season for this ministry as we step into the unknown and work hand in hand with other churches to do this ministry. I have no doubt God has amazing things in store again for the youth of this community.

In preparing for the start of 747 next year, we will be having a retreat (details on attached sheet) for all people interested in being a leader. That’s right, even if you are not sure about 747 leadership you are welcome on the retreat, and from this retreat you can then make a more informed decision. We will be spending time looking at our values in youth ministry, developing some leadership guidelines and developing our skills in leadership, oh, and we will be having lots of fun time getting to know each other.
