In March we had an email from SIL Manila saying our support level needed to increase by around 20%! We thought we would never get going! Then the Lord proved that he really is in this and wants us to go soon. We went from 65% of our needed financial support up to 94% in just a few weeks! Thank you to all who have been praying, to those who have contributed to our support and to those who have promised to be part of our support team.
Not only is God faithful but you have been faithful in hearing his leading and being obedient to his call, and for that we are very thankful. It is because of your obedience that we are able to go.
We are planning on leaving Australia in the first week of June. It is exciting, scary and very busy as we organise our last few weeks here.

Back in Somerset
Since finishing Summer School we did a quick trip to Queensland for some meetings and then down the East Coast and back to Tasmania. God was really looking after us while we were travelling. There were times when we didn’t have enough money for fuel to go to the next place, but God always provided at just the right time.
We are now house-sitting in Somerset again. It’s good to be back close to church and school. Brodie and Shannon have enjoyed being able to go to school part-time, although they find it harder to concentrate and get their work done than home schooling.
Lachlan has seen his speech therapist again and while she was pleased with the amount he is now saying she is still concerned about the quality, so we start on that this week.
We’ve lost count how many times we’ve shifted in the last twelve months; it’s a relief that this should be the last move before we go to the Philippines.
What’s ahead...
Currently we are waiting on our visas to come back from the Philippine Embassy in Canberra, there was a lot of confusion initially when we were trying to get the application forms and requirements for the special visa we need to have. It is evidently an unusual visa to be issued here in Australia.
When we reach Manila our first stop is the Orientation Program. This will help us in our role while there and to fit into the language and culture.
May God bless you and keep you,
Jason & Karen Griffiths
