Winston has provided a list of some of the needs in Sri Lanka. It's not a very long list I'm sure there are many more needs, but in this list there are some of the basics in life we often take for granted.

For the English & Maths classes, cost is about Rs 1000 per month per student
To rent a house, for a teacher, is approx Rs 8-10,000 per month
Book cases made out of aluminum & glass sliding doors (as the current open wooden ones are not practical due to dust)
Books on Computer knowledge & books on Medical knowledge (for medical students)

Needs in Churches

First Aid Kits to perform basic medical requirements to those who do not have the means see a doctor (especially for up country & villages)
Bibles for believers, cost is approx A$5.00 each
Funds to buy (locally) Vitamins for children. Costs in Rs- Vit C=.60cts/Vit B=.20cts/Iron=.50cts/Multi V=6.90
Funds to buy locally, Books (Rs 26.00) & pens(rs 11.00) for children.
Funds to buy locally, toothbrushes (Rs 20.00) & Toothpaste (Rs 50.00) for children
