We have an offer from a sewing group on the Sunshine Coast to sew baby clothes for next year's mission trip.
Donations for materials are needed. See Jim or Winston.
We are looking for a generous owner of some storage space to collect Linen for missions. So, if there is someone out there who has some spare space like half a garage or a shed where we can safely store some linen and other gifts, we will really appreciate it.
Thanks again and God Bless you all.

Winston's summary of his 2007 Missions trip to Sri-Lanka:
The church services there goes on for about 2 hours (minimum) and the fellowship thereafter lasts two to three hours after the service. The day at the church is treated like a day out for the believers. I was reminded that in a world that is getting busier by the day, the church should be one place where we can simply stop “racing” and pause to share our love with one another as God wants us to, and not treat the day as just another ritual. There are some churches in the capital of Colombo that are open 24 hours! They feed & offer a sleeping place for the poor wanderers. At times I was overwhelmed at the extremes of the lack of basic needs of the some of the believers, but they were always joyful in their outlook. How did these people live with so little? Because their “wants” are less versus our “wants” It was not about what we have, but how content we are with them. What stood out for me was the fact that I was too busy to be fruitful for God.
Stats in brief:
Winston has provided a list of some of the needs in Sri Lanka. It's not a very long list I'm sure there are many more needs, but in this list there are some of the basics in life we often take for granted.

Just a few thoughts from Winston:
"When you step out in boldness in God, He increases the ability in the use of His gifts in you"
"A Fire always reaches upwards, but commences from below. I feel that this 'below' is the south of Sri Lanka"
"Today, our aim is to build our kingdom rather than God's kingdom. It becomes a vertical building of competition instead of a horizontal building of hearts"
"If we have the time to quarrel among ourselves (churches) then we miss the boat. There are far too many to be saved, for us even to think about our inequities in the churches."
These photos show some of the people doing ministry within the hills of Sri Lanka.
The first photo shows the room where four youth workers sleep. The room is about 6 feet across by 3 feet wide. You will notice that the window is open as they cannot afford to place a proper window. Outside are tea trees and they grow fairly high up in the hills. So, it is very cold in the nights.
UdayakumaraEleven year old Udayakumara, had a history of heart ailments. Medical reports indicated that he would not live for much longer. On the 15/10/07 he had a fit and was on the floor writhing in agony & clutching his heart. Many of us got together & prayed. He was at times so strong when tossing around that his entire torso stood erect from the heel to the head with none of the other parts of the body ever touching the ground (like when a jolt of high electricity is applied).
