On Sunday the 10th February there will be opportunities for every regular attendee at Rivers to look at all the ministries of the church and to link in with them.

It is hoped that in 2008 every regular attendee will …

Be involved with a home group or bible study group
Have at least one ministry which they will support with their involvement.

Sermons are recorded to audio and then formatted for web download as Podcasts. In order to manage our web space efficiently we are only keeping around 3 months of previous sermons on the web at a time, deleting from the oldest as we go. If you are looking for a particular sermon and its not here then please email rivers@riversbaptist.com
I should be able to locate it and forward it to you on a cd or flash drive.

Santa has the moves!Santa Gets DownThe guys and gals from 747 Green Machine and Secure Team met at the Wilson place for a end of 2007 year breakup party. A BBQ dinner, swimming in the pool, hacky sack, guitar and chat was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Kimbo for organising the secret Santa. Santa appeared to the great surprise of all (especially as he is not real!) and proceeded to show his cool dance moves (NOT!).

All regular attendees of the Church are asked to consider where your gifting lies so that you can use those gifts in God’s service here at Rivers.

We need to start equipping people for 2008 ministries in the areas of:- Hosting/Kidz Biz/747 leaders & assistants/help desk operators/sound desk operators/data operators.
We will also be looking to establish new home groups to operate in 2008 and will need hosts and/or leaders for these.

If you can claim the honour of being one of our delightful senior citizens and enjoy viewing the Christmas lights then this event is especially for you. You will be chauffeured around for the evening viewing the local Christmas Lights. All you need to do is to register at the information desk with your name and address and then sit back and wait for us to arrive. We will pick up and deliver you back to your doorstep. Please bring a flask of tea or coffee and cups for supper. Christmas cake will be provided.

End of Year Get together

Enjoy a BBQ dinner (gold coin donation) and a evening of men’s fellowship. Bring a mate along to enjoy the fun. See you there!
