Richard Dawkins sends people to CreationOnTheWeb - January 2008

News from the CreationOnTheWeb website.

Creationists battling on the blog of antitheist Richard Dawkins often link to articles on CreationOnTheWeb.com. 57% of the many visitors to our website who come from Dawkins’ site are new to CreationOnTheWeb. And in general, visitors from such anti-creationist sites tend to stay longer and look at more material than visitors from ‘friendly’ sites. Isn’t that great?

When you are taking part in a blog or web forum, it’s easy to link to CreationOnTheWeb. After you've found a suitable creationist article using the search box on our front page, paste the link into your reply with HTML code.

The Message From Rain On The Pine

Some months ago God placed a dream in the hearts of a group of Christian Church leaders. That dream was to unite the region's churches for an evening of prayer and worship for rain. As we gathered for prayer and discussion, the journey began.

That journey in itself has done so much to unite the hearts of church leaders to the point where they are prepared to look beyond their own local vision to embrace God's bigger picture. Together, we are coming to realise that there is one church in Pine Rivers. That church has many congregations and expressions and calls itself by many names. Together we number in the thousands. Together we are called the Body of Christ!

Banning Bibles

As many of you may have heard, Bibles have been banned from a number of hospitals in Queensland. The Royal Brisbane and Women's and Princess Alexandra hospitals in Brisbane are among the first to stop the Gideons testaments being left in patients' bedside tables. If you’d like to voice your protest against this:

1) sign the E-petition at www.parliament.qld.gov.au/view/EPetitions_QLD/
2) write a letter to your member of parliament and Premier Beattie.

Podcasts

Baptist Youth Ministries is compiling a list of good quality Podcast sites. Podcasting is when a person places an MP3 or iPod (sound) file on a website that can be downloaded. (Kinda like pastor to pastor, only downloadable from the net!)
An example is www.mosaic.org/podcast/.

If you visit or know of any good podcast sites, please email the link to David Toscano and also visit www.qb.com.au/youth/subpage.aspx?id=45&pageid=27 to see what is on offer.
